How will you get home after the big one?

The metropolitan government’s report showed for the first time the number of people who will be stranded at railway stations and, among them, those who will have no way to go home.

The largest concentration of people is expected at Tokyo Station, where 198,000 people will be stranded initially. About 142,000 will remain stuck in the station or its vicinity until the trains start running again.

Shibuya Station will have the second largest concentration, with 183,000 people stranded initially, including 103,000 to be stranded for a long duration.
